status

Hygronemobius sp.

Material examined. Guadeloupe, Saint François, anse à la barque, 2 females, iv. 1961, J. Bonfils, col. and det. ( INRA).

Remark. The material at hand consists in two females covered with dry fungi, that cannot be formally described as new. They fit Hygronemobius diagnosis ( Desutter-Grandcolas 1993), but their coloration differs greatly from other known species (pronotum with many yellow and brown rounded dots arranged as a network); other characters: TIII spurs very long, female FWs short, ovipositor longer than FIII. The taxonomic study of this material will be done when additional specimens are collected.
