Etymology. The name Triatoma pessoai is given in homage to the illustrious parasitologist Samuel B. Pessoa ( Sherlock & Serafim 1967: 86).

Original citation. “ O nome Triatoma pessoai é dado em homenagem ao ilustre parasitologista Samuel B. Pessoa” ( Sherlock & Serafim 1967: 86).
