Cothurnia ceramicola Kahl, 1933 View in CoL
Record as epibiont on cnidarians: The species was found in Kiel Bay of the North Sea by Precht (1935) on the hydrozoan Gonothyraea loveni (as Laomedea loveni ).
Record as epibiont on other hosts: The species was firstly described as an epibiont of the alga Ceramium sp. from Kiel bay of the North Sea ( Kahl 1933, 1935). It was found in the Kiel Bay of the North Sea by Precht (1935) on the polychaete Spirorbis spirorbis (Linnaeus, 1758) . Later this species was found by Felinska (1965) attached to algae collected near Plymouth, United Kingdom. This species was found in the Kiel Bay of the North Sea by Precht (1935) on bryozoans Crisia burnea (Linnaeus, 1758) and Cribilina punctata (Hassall, 1841) . This species was also reported as epibiont on bryozoa Triticella sp attached to crab from Mandovi-Zuari River mouth, Goa, West coast of India, Arabian Sea ( Chatterjee et al. 2020b).
