Treatment

Record as epibiont on cnidarians: It has been reported on hydroids from Strait of Georgia ( Wailes 1943; Mccazuley & Hancock 1971).

Record as epibiont on other hosts: The species was also registered on algae from Strait of Georgia ( Wailes 1943; Mccazuley & Hancock 1971). Endo et al. (2017) found E. plana on krill Euphausia pacifica Hansen, 1911 collected in Saanich Inlet, Canada.

Remarks: The identification of Ephelota plana on copepod Centropages orsinii Giesbrecht, 1889 and other copepods by Purushothaman, J. et al. (2020) is erroneous; probably this species will be Acineta euchaetae Sewell, 1951 .
