Actinocyathula homari (Sand, 1899)

Record as epibiont on cnidarians: Fernandez-Leborans et al. (2013) reported the species as epibiont on the hydrozoan Dicoryne conferta , which was found on gastropod shells inhabited by the hermit-crab Pagurus bernhardus from the west coast of Scotland.

Record as epibiont on other hosts: This species had been observed as epizoic on a variety of crustaceans: on the asellote isopods Munna acanthifera Hansen, 1916 and Heteromesus frigidus Hansen, 1916 in Icelandic waters ( Olafsdottir & Svavarsson 2002); and on Paguristes eremita (Linnaeus, 1767) , Pagurus excavatus (Herbst, 1791) , Pagurus prideaux Leach, 1815 , Paguristes oculatus (Fabricius, 1775) , Medorippe lanata (Linnaeus, 1767) , Parthenope angulifrons Latreille, 1825 , Corystes cassivelaunus (Pennant, 1777) , Liocarcinus depurator (Linnaeus, 1758) , Goneplax rhomboids (Linnaeus, 1758) and Diogenes pugilator (Roux, 1829) from the north-western Mediterranean Sea ( Fernandez-Leborans 2003).
