Female (two specimens).

Dorsal shield strongly reticulate; 351, 348 long and 174, 172 wide, with 17 pairs of setae. Setae j 1 31, 29; j 3 29; j 4 21; j 5 23; j 6 29; J 2 31, 29; J 5 10, 8; z 2 23; z 3 31, 29; z 4 31, 29; z 5 23; Z 4 52, 49; Z 5 81, 73; s 4 39, 36; s 6 44; S 2 55, 52; S 4 44, 42; r 3 36, 34; R 1 21. Dorsal setae smooth, except Z 4 and Z 5, slightly serrate. Peritreme extending to level of j 3.

Venter. Sternal shield smooth, with few lateral striae, with two pairs of setae and two pairs of lyrifissures. Distances between st 1 –st 1 57, 55; st 2 –st 2 62, 60; st 3 –st 3 73, 65; st 4 –st 4 86, 68. Genital shield smooth, with lateral extentions; distance between st 5 –st 5 70, 65. Ventrianal shield subpentagonal, reticulate; 119, 112 long, 94, 81 wide at ZV 2 level and 81, 78 wide at level of anus; with four pairs of pre-anal setae and no pores. Seta JV 5 65, 55. Ventral setae smooth. Two pairs of metapodal plates.

Spermatheca. Calyx of spermatheca cup-shaped, 18 long; atrium distinct.

Gnathosoma. Corniculi parallel to each other; basal width of corniculus 3, distance between bases of corniculi 8. Movable cheliceral digit 30, 29 long, with two teeth; fixed digit 30 long, with three teeth.

Legs. Macroseta blunt: Sge IV 31, 29; Sti IV 34, 29; St IV 56, 49; chaetotaxy of genu II 2, 2/ 1, 2 / 0, 1; genu III 1, 2/ 1, 2 / 0, 1.

Specimens examined. One female from mango leaves, at the Faculty of Agriculture Farm, Cairo University, Giza governorate, September 1977 (coll. M.A. Zaher); one female from castor bean leaves, at same locality, Decemmber 1977 (coll. M.A. Zaher).

Previous records from Egypt. Fayoum governorate ( Romeih et al., 2010 b); Giza governorate ( El-Badry, 1967 a, 1970; Zaher et al., 1973; Zaher, 1986; Romeih et al., 2010 b); Ismailia governorate ( Zaher, 1986); unspecified governorate (Zaher & Shehata, 1969; Zaher et al., 1970).

Remarks. This species was originally described from Germany. The original description was very brief, without illustrations or measurements; complementary descriptions were listed by Demite et al. (2014), including redescriptions based on specimens collected in Egypt (Zaher & Shehata, 1969; El-Badry, 1970; Zaher, 1986). Measurements of the females examined are close to those reported by Chant & Yoshida-Shaul (1987) for the neotype specimen (except S 2, 40 according to the authors); measurements of specimens examined also fit the corresponding ranges given by Ferragut et al. (2010) (except S 2, 35–44 according to that authors).
