( Fig. 4 View FIGURES 1 – 6. 1 )

Description. Head black with orange spots in the middle of vertex. Frons pubescent, finely punctate between antennal tubercles. Antennal tubercles projected. Vertex with fine furrows. Gulae (40×) with delicate transverse furrows. Scape black with irregular integument. Antennomeres III–XI yellow at base and darkened apically. Prothorax black with red spots on pronotum, two postmedially and two anterior to base and projected anteriorly; median tubercle inconspicuous; some crateriform punctures (50×) on anterior half; grayish pubescence covers most of pronotum, except central region. Sides of prothorax pubescent in basal three-fourths; two or three contrasting punctures in anterior half (50×). Prosternum pubescent in posterior half.

Elytra black. Each one with orange-yellow tegumental areas: (1) from scutellum to apex, longitudinal band fused with suture, slightly wider in central elytron and restricted to suture from apical third to apical fourth; (2) premedially, subrounded dorsal spot; (3) on apical third, oblique oval spot, dorsal, and smaller than (2); (4) apical sixth with a yellow band. Elytral punctures crateriform, mostly close to suture and base; whitish pubescence arranged in four irregular rows on each elytron. Elytral apices obliquely truncate and externally projected.

Femora with yellowish peduncles and clavate portions black. Tibiae yellowish, darkened on bases and tips. Tarsi orange. Ventral surface of body reddish-black and pubescent. Female: Elytra with more than one yellow spot in middle and fused with margin.

Measurements in mm, male/female. Total length, 7.5/7.7; prothorax length, 1.7/1.8; greatest prothorax width, 1.1/1.1; elytron length, 5.9/; humeral length, 1.5/1.6.

Type material. Holotype male, ECUADOR, Manabi: “Vicinity” Montecristi (01,01534°S, 80,68195°W, 355 m), 17–26.II.2006, F. T, Hovore & I. Swift col. ( CASC). Paratype female, same data as holotype ( MZSP).

Remarks. Bezarkia suturalis has a color pattern very similar to Corimbion antennatum . In C. antennatum , the scape is reddish with only a black apex; antennomere III is not enlarged (male); antennomere III yellow with only a black apex; pubescence of pronotum restricted to base; tubercle in the middle of pronotum more projected; elytral spot is small, yellow, situated near the suture, and in the middle of elytra; elytral apices slightly emarginate. In B. suturalis , the scape is black; antennomere III is enlarged (male); antennomere III is black with a yellow base; pubescence of the pronotum occupies most of surface; tubercle in the median pronotum is inconspicuous; elytral spot is small, yellowish, located in the posterior third, and distant of the suture; elytral apices obliquely truncate.
