Bathymunida Balss, 1914: 5 [type species: Bathymunida polae Balss, 1914 , by monotypy].

Remarks. Baba (1994) described Bathymunida inermis from off central-east Queensland, but that species was since transferred to Anoplonida (Baba & de Saint Laurent 1996). The two species reported below are thus the first records of Bathymunida sensu stricto for Australia. Bathymunida presently includes 15 species (Macpherson & Baba 2006; Baba et al. 2008; Macpherson 2013), distinguished by the key below, modified from Baba & de Saint Laurent (1996).
