In the key to Neotropical Puliciphora View in CoL females ( Disney, 2003a) this species will readily run to couplet 27, lead 2 to P. imbecilla View in CoL , as does the new species P. jacquemart i (see above), and is then best distinguished by its possession of small wing rudiments (similar to Fig. 23 View FIGURES 22 – 24 ) and T6 being represented by its anterior apodemes only.
