Differential diagnosis. Species characterized by absence of light patches and pits in thoracic and abdominal terga, having four setae at posterior margin of sternites A1–A8 and two setae in posterolateral margin of A9. Sclerites in lateral part of head are much smaller and shorter compared with those of L. quadricollis and they occupy less than half of the cranial length.

Measurements. BL 13.2–17.0 mm, PL 1.4–1.5 mm, PW 1.72–1.8 mm.

Material examined. China, Yunnan, 35 km N of Lijiang, Ganhaizi pass, 3550 m, vii.1995, Bolm lgt., two mature and one medium instar larva ( LMBC) .
