Differential diagnosis. The unidentified species from Hubei is morphologically similar to Lyponia quadricollis and differs only in posteriorly shifted light patches on thoracic and abdominal terga.
Measurements. BL 13.8– 15 mm, PL 0.53–1.1 mm, PW 1.2–2.4 mm.
Material examined. China, Hubei, Shennongjia Nat. Res., Muyu env., 1450 m, v.1997, Bolm lgt., five mature larvae ( LMBC) .
