Plateros sp. #1 ( USA)

Differential diagnosis. Sp. #1 is characterized by terga T1–T3 and A1–A9 light brown to yellow along medial longitudinal line, tergum T9 as long as width, with rounded apex, and terga very finely reticulate. Incision in frontolateral part of epicranium deeper than in P. lictor .

Measurements. BL 13 mm, total width of pronotal tergites 1.57 mm, LP 0.85 mm.

Material examined. USA SD: Lawrence Co., Black Hills Nat’l Forest , 3 mil. WSW Hanna, T49 N/ R2 E/Sec. 05, 17.vii.1998, Jeffrey P. Gruber, one mature and one medium instar larva ( LMBC) .
