Type material. Holotype male from Cabanas Aliñahui (01°02’19.2”S, 77°31’57.1”W), 450 masl, 20 km E Puerto Napo, Napo, Ecuador, IV/1994, V. Roth coll., deposited in CAS GoogleMaps . Paratype male with same data, deposited in IBSP 250629.

Additional material examined. None.

Etymology. The species epithet is a noun in apposition taken from the type locality, Cabanas Aliñahui, in Ecuador.

Diagnosis. Centroctenus alinahui sp. n. resembles C. chalkidisi sp. n. by the shape of the copulatory bulb sclerites ( Fig. 8 View FIGURE 8 B–D), but can be distinguished by the cymbium with prolateral border rounded, RTA distally flat and wide, with indented border and an internal branch with a small rounded projection ( Fig. 6 View FIGURE 6 B–D).

Description. Male (holotype). Carapace orange, with cephalic area and lateral borders brown ( Fig. 6A View FIGURE 6 ). Legs and palps orange, with coxae yellow. Chelicerae, labium and endites orange. Sternum yellow. Abdomen gray with an orange median dorsal folium, ventrally light gray. Total length 12. Carapace 6.5 long and 5.5 wide. Eye diameters: AME 0.16, ALE 0.12, PME 0.2, PLE 0.18. Chelicerae: promargin with 3 teeth, the median almost twice as high as the laterals; retromargin with 5, basal smaller than others. Leg measurements: I: femur 8.5/ patella 3.1/ tibia 8.8/ metatarsus 8.2/ tarsus 3.1/ total 31.7; II: 8/ 3.2/ 7.8/ 7.3/ 3.1/ 29.4; III: 7/ 2.7/ 6.1/ 7.1/ 2.4/ 25.3; IV: 9.1/ 3/ 8.4/ 11.5/ 2.8/ 34.8. Leg formula: 4123. Leg spination: tibia I-II v2-2-2-2-2, r1-1-0, p1-1-0, III-IV v2-2-2, r1-1-0, p1- 1-0; metatarsus I-IV v2-2-2, r1-1-1, p1-1-1. Palp ( Fig. 5 View FIGURE 5 B–D): tibia approximately two times the cymbium length; cymbium oval, distally tapered; tegulum oval; embolus short, curved, with large base; median apophysis enlarged; conductor hyaline, located next to the tip of embolus.

Female. Unknown.

Distribution. Known only from the type locality ( Fig. 12C View FIGURE 12 ).
