Agrilus plasoni plasoni View in CoL OBENBERGER ( Figs. 5 View FIGURES 16 , 12 View FIGURES 716 )
Agrilus plasoni Obenberger, 1917: 212 213 View in CoL . Holotype by monotypy ♂, NMPC: “Constantinopel [sic!] [confusion of locality, see remarks], c[ollection]. Plason [p] \ Typus [p] [red label with black border] \ Agrilus Plasoni View in CoL m. [h] Det. Dr. Obenberger [p] \ Mus. Nat. Pragae [p] 26479 [h] Inv. [p] [orange label]”.
Agrilus Jeanvoinei Descarpentries & Villiers, 1963: 52 View in CoL , 5455, Figs. 20, 25. syn. nov. Holotype ♀, MNHN: “ TONKIN [p] Than Moo [sic!] [= Thanh Moï, Lang Son province, 21°38'N, 106°33'E] II. IV. [h] 191 [p] 8 [h] JEANVOINE [leg.] [p] \ A. jeanvoinei View in CoL n. sp. Holotype nobis A. Descarpentries et [h] A. Villiers det. 195 [p] [number 5 is overwritten to 6] 2 [h] \ MUS2UM PARIS 1935 COLL. A. THÉRY [p]”.
Remarks. The type locality of A. plasoni was confused in the description and corrected by Obenberger (1940, 1958) as follows: China, Fokien [= Fujian Sheng province, 26°00'N, 118°00'E] ( China bor. [sic!] occ.).
The description of A. jeanvoinei was based except of the holotype on inexplicit number of paratypes from: “HoaBinh (R. P. de Cooman [leg.])”; “ Bhoutan: MariaBasti [recently probably in India, Northern part of West Bengal province] (L. Durel [leg.])” and “ Chine: KouyTschéou [= Guizhou Sheng (province), 27°00'N, 107°00'E]. I found in MNHN only 3 paratypes from Vietnam (for precise locality data, see Material examined below). Locality data from “ Bhoutan ” is preliminarily excluded from distribution as it could pertain also to very closely related A. darjiling sp. nov.
This continental subspecies is distinctive by the more projecting and sharper spines on the elytral apices. Aedeagus ( Fig. 12 View FIGURES 716 ).
