Type material. Holotype ♀, EJCB: “ VIETNAM, 15 ­ 29. V. 1994, SW of BAO LOC [11°27'N, 107°43'E], P. Pacholátko & L. Dembický leg.”. GoogleMaps

Description. 8.3 mm long (holotype). Head and pronotum golden­orange, elytra bluish­black, apices carmine, ventrally silky­blue. Frons with deep, oval depression in middle; pronotum strongly convex; lateral impressions very narrow and vague; medial impressions obvious; prehumerus absent. Elytral disk with intricate ornamental pubescence, apices sharply, separately, medially acuminate. Mentonniere robust, subtruncate, prosternal process flat, large and subparallel between coxae, apex of last ventrite narrowly arcuate, almost acuminate. Male unknown.

A very distinctive species by absence of the prehumerus and by form of the elytral apices.

Etymology. Named for the type locality.
