Material examined. MFM 145620– MFM 145623 and twenty-eight other referred specimens.

Remarks. Fossil specimens of this genus are commonly collected from the Pliocene to Pleistocene of Japan (e.g., Karasawa 1990, 1993, 1997; Karasawa & Matsuoka 1993; Sakumoto 2000; Karasawa & Nobuhara 2008; Izumi & Sato 2017). The extant specimens are known from South and East Africa to the western Pacific ( Miyake 1983; Ikeda 1998; Castro 2007; Mohanty et al. 2016).
