( Figs. 31–40 View FIGURES 31–35 View FIGURES 36–40 )
Diagnosis. Parafacial brown except yellow between antenna and eye; frons wider than long and parallel-sided, with two brownish yellow longitudinal stripes extending to ocellar triangle; acrostichal setulae in eight rows; phallus with one preapical process on dorsal side in lateral view and one trident sclerotized structures inside.
Description. MALE. Body length 6.0 mm, wing length 8.0 mm. FEMALE. Unknown.
Head ( Fig. 31 View FIGURES 31–35 ) yellow, with grayish white pruinescence. Face brown, parafacial brown except yellow between antenna and eye. Frons wider than long and parallel-sided, with two brownish yellow longitudinal stripes extending to ocellar triangle; ocellar triangle blackish brown, ocellar setae developed, longer than anterior fronto-orbital setae. Gena about 1/6 height of eye. Antennal scape and pedicel yellow, first flagellomere and arista broken. Proboscis blackish brown, with white and black setulae; palpus black with black setulae.
Thorax ( Fig. 34 View FIGURES 31–35 ) blackish brown, with grayish white pruinescence. 0+3 dorsocentral setae; acrostichal setulae in eight rows, with a pair of strong acrostichal setulae, almost as long as first post-sutural dorsocentral setae; a pair of strong prescutellar setae, longer than first post-sutural dorsocentral setae. One anepisternal seta, two katepisternal setae. Legs blackish brown, tarsi yellow except brown at tip. Fore femur with seven posterior dorsal setae, six posterior setae and seven posterior ventral setae; fore tibia with one dorsal preapical seta and one short apical ventral seta. Mid femur with six anterior setae; mid tibia with one strong dorsal preapical seta and one strong apical ventral seta. Hind femur with one preapical anterior dorsal seta; hind tibia with one dorsal preapical seta. Wing ( Fig. 32 View FIGURES 31–35 ) hyaline and yellow at base; costa with 2nd (between R 1 and R 2+3), 3rd (between R 2+3 and R 4+5), and 4th (between R 4+5 and M 1) sections in proportion of 13.5: 3.8: 2.4; r-m before middle of discal cell; ultimate and penultimate sections of M 1 in proportion of 10.2: 5.4; ultimate section of CuA 1 about 1/5 of penultimate. Haltere pale yellow, except knob brown.
Abdomen ( Fig. 35 View FIGURES 31–35 ) black, with grayish white pruinescence. Male genitalia ( Figs. 36–40 View FIGURES 36–40 ): syntergosternite with several pair of short dorsal setae and semicircular. Epandrium without distinct surstylus, with setae and weakly sclerotized; hypandrium without inner process; pregonites shorter and inwards curved in ventral view, postgonites with setae and longer than phallus, with one acute process at tip. Phallapodeme thin, shorter than 1/2 length of phallus; phallus without concavity apically, with one preapical process on dorsal side in lateral view and one trident sclerotized structures inside.
Type material. Holotype ( CAUC):♁, CHINA, Yunnan Province: Nujiang Dulongjiang , 2007.V.20,Xingyue Liu.
Distribution. China (Yunnan)
Remarks. The new species is somewhat similar to Minettia (Plesiominettia) nujiangensis sp. nov. from Yunnan, but it can be separated from the latter in the acrostichal setulae in eight rows; epandrium without distinct surstylus; postgonites longer than phallus; phallus with one trident sclerotized structures inside. In Minettia (Plesiominettia) nujiangensis sp. nov., acrostichal setulae in six rows; surstylus hook-shaped; postgonite degenerate; phallus with a pair of bifurcated and curved forward claw processes.
Etymology. The specific epithet is named for holotype locality in Yunnan, Dulongjiang.
