*Genus Cymophorus Kirby, 1827

The genus was revised by Schein (1954b). There are seven recognized subgenera in Cymophorus and this genus is distributed throughout the Afrotropical and Oriental Regions ( Schein 1954b; Krajcik 2008a; Schoolmeesters 2019; Serrano et al. 2020). This is the first record of the genus for Guinea-Bissau.
