(1) The malacobyrsa group

Diagnosis. Moths of the malacobyrsa group share a broad lanceolate yellow forewing with a wide blackish brown postmedian fascia ( Fig. 6a View FIGURE 6 ). In the male genitalia ( Fig. 7a View FIGURE 7 ), the uncus is more or less conical or rod-shaped; the gnathos is absent; the valva is blade-shaped in most species; the transtilla is dilated roundly or enlarged irregularly; and the sacculus entirely separated from the valva. In the female genitalia ( Fig. 8a View FIGURE 8 ), the antrum is heavily sclerotized or membranous; the ductus bursae is widely sclerotized or narrowly membranous; and the rounded corpus bursae has 1−2 signa.
The malacobyrsa group includes four described species.
