(7) The facialis group

Diagnosis. Moths of the facialis group share a yellow forewing with a dark costal spot and a dark apical patch ( Fig. 6g View FIGURE 6 ). In the male genitalia ( Fig. 7g View FIGURE 7 ), the uncus is sub-triangular, club-shaped, or long spine-shaped; the gnathos is absent or present; and the sacculus is separated from the valva, or only free distally. In the female genitalia ( Fig. 8g View FIGURE 8 ), the antrum is heavily sclerotized in most species, the ductus bursae is sclerotized or membranous, and the corpus bursae lacks or has 1−2 signa.
The facialis group includes 24 described species.
