Distribution. Peru.
Raffray (1891: 327) described this species from “ Amazones. Cavallo Cocho [Caballo Cocha]” collected by Marc de Mathan during his first expedition to Amazon region of Peru between 1879 to 1889 ( Lamas 1980: 27). Subsequently, Park (1942: 347) attributed this record to Brazil and by other authors to the Amazon region of Brazil ( Raffray 1890a: 163; Raffray 1905: 444; Raffray 1908a: 412; Raffray 1909: 47; Raffray 1911: 171; Wasmann 1894: 102). Brazil should not be considered as part of its distribution.
