Scleropodium cespitans (Wilson ex Müll. Hal.) L. F. Koch View in CoL
This subatlantic temperate species is present in Western and Southern Europe ( Blockeel et al. 2014). In the Balkans it is known from Serbia, Montenegro and also Crete, although report from Crete is considered doubtful ( Veljić et al. 2008, Hodgetts 2015). Sometimes it can be confused with other similar species (e.g. Cirriphyllum crassinervium ). The only record of this species from Serbia is by Zlatarska river near Nova Varoš town ( Veljić et al. 2008). Its occurrence in Serbia is considered doubtful, and needs further verification.
