Encalypta serbica Katić View in CoL
E. serbica View in CoL was discovered and described as new species from Serbia by Katić (1906), but hasn’t been reported ever since. Katić (1906) gave shallow description of the taxa, but without an illustration or information about original material. Its taxonomic status is problematic, and some authors consider it as form of E. ciliata View in CoL ( Horton 1983, Pavić et al. 1998), without material studied. Though, without original material its taxonomic status still remains unclear, requiring further research. There is no herbarium specimen and searching the area where from it was reported did not give results to find similar material to that one reported in the Katić (1906). Further investigations are needed.
