The only known citation from Serbia of this rare, and in many countries protected species comes from Kopaonik Mt. ( Papp et al. 2004). However, recently revision of the herbarium specimen has been done, and the material identified as Hamatocaulis vernicosus (Mitt.) Hedenäs (rev. B. Papp 2016). Thus, D. lycopodioides at present should be rejected from the Serbian species list due to the misidentification.
