Campylium longicuspis (Lindb. & Arnell) Hedenäs View in CoL
This mainly arctic species prefers calcium-rich wetland habitats ( Jacobson & Hedenäs 2015). In Europe is reported from Arctic Russia, Sweden and Svalbard, and rejected from Norway and Northern Macedonia ( Ros et al. 2013, Hodgetts 2015). Martinčič (2009) stated that N. Macedonian record is likely a consequence of erroneous synonymy of C. protensum . Its occurrence in the Balkans is very questionable and unlikely. Report from Serbia ( Grdović 2005) should be considered as erroneous due to incorrect synonymy or misidentification, and species should be rejected from the Serbian species list.
