Brachytheciastrum trachypodium (Brid.) Ignatov & Huttunen View in CoL
This is a cryptic species that grows in (sub)alpine areas with late snow-lie in Alpine and northwestern Europe ( Frey et al., 2006; Blockeel et al., 2014). By the characteristic lanceolate leaf it is similar to the more common species B. velutinum and B. salicinum , hence some specimens may be confused and difficult to identify ( Orgaz et al. 2013, Blockeel et al. 2014). In the neighboring countries, this arctic-montane species is present in Greece, Montenegro, Romania and Slovenia ( Sabovljević et al., 2008; Ros et al., 2013). In Serbia it was reported only from Prokletije Mt (Martinčič, 2006). Further confirmation is needed.
