Current name: Anacamptis sancta (L.) R.M. Bateman & al. (Orchidaceae) View in CoL LSID .
Wore: This name appears first in Fl. Palaestina : 29 (1756). However, there it is a nomen nudum as the validating diagnosis merely states “ Orchis sancta , radix desuit in speciminibus” (the root lacking in the specimens). The name dates from 1759, rather than 1763 as suggested by Wood (in Kew Mag. 10: 11. 1993). The type is figured by Baumann & al. (in Mitteilungsbl. Arbeitskr .. Heim. Orchid. B aden - W iirttem berg21: 647, Abb. 41. 1989).
