Basionym: Orchis morio var. m ascula L. (1753) .

Current name: Orchis mascula (L.) L. (Orchidaceae) View in CoL LSID .
N ote: Baumann & al. (in Mitteilungsbl. Arbeitskr.. Heim. Orchid. B a d en -W iirttem b erg2 1: 518, Abb. 34. 1989) wrongly treated this as a new name, rather than a new combination based on O. morio var. m ascula L. (1753), and designated 1054.19 (LINN) as lectotype. However, O. mascula is homotypic with O. morio var. mascula , which is typified by a Mattioli plate.
