The available specimens resemble mainly the redescription published by HEINRICH
(1974: 163-164), but differ by the following features: flagellum with only 30-32 flagellomeres, second segment of maxillary palps egg-like swollen, about 1.8 times as long as wide (less distinct in the Vietnamese and Taiwanese species), spiracles of propodeum about 2 times as long as wide. Whitish stripe on flagellomeres 8-12, clypeus with a diffuse yellowish spot centrally and yellowish sides, hind tarsus completely black in the Tawainese material, in the Laotic specimen metatarsus ivory, with narrowly darkened apex and with segments 2-5 of hind tarsus black, in the Vietnamese specimens segments 1-4 of tarsus III ivory.
T a x o n o m i c a l r e m a r k:Theswollensecond segment of maxillary palps has been described as a typical feature for the genera Cratolabus HEINRICH 1974 and Cratolaboides TERESHKIN 2009 as well. The differences of both genera published by TERESHKIN (2009) might be of specific nature only. However, more material should be examined to establish a possible synonymy of the mentioned genera.
D i s t r i b u t i o n: Known from China, India and Myanmar, new record for Laos and Vietnam.
