Type material. Holotype: CHINA: Yunnan Province: ♂, Yuanmou County, Laocheng , 9. viii. 2005, coll. Meixia Yang ; Paratypes: 1♂, same data as holotype ; 1♀, same locality as holotype, 28. vi. 2005, coll. Fu Wen ; 2♂♂, 3♀♀, Yuanmou County, Zhengan , 23/24 vii. 2005, coll. Qiao Li and Qingyuan Li.

Description. Colour. Yellowish green. Frontoclypeus yellowish. Ocelli yellow. Eyes red brown with white stripe medially. Forewings transparent and veins pale brown in male, forewings yellow to green with veins greenish in female. Hind wings hyaline, pale white.

Body length: male 5.0–6.0 mm to tip of the forewing; female 6.5–7.2 mm to the tip of forewing, 7.5–8.3 mm to the end of ovipositor. Vertex subtriangular, wide angular and declined forward anteriorly in male; broadly rounded and slightly upturned anteriorly in female. Ocellus close to corresponding eye. Measurements of vertex length: interocular width: pronotal length (mm): male 0.70: 1.0: 0.70, female 1.0: 1.3: 0.80. Pronotum slightly wider than head.

Male genitalia: Plates with six setae laterally. Pygofer side pointed apically. Aedeagus with pair of terminal processes, branched, slightly flattened, curving dorsally; shaft expanding medially, ridged ventrally; gonopore apical.

Female genitalia: Ovipositor extending beyond pygofer at 1.5 times its width. Seventh sternum with round projection medially.

Distribution. China (Yunnan).

Etymology. The species name is derived from the type locality.

Remarks. This species is similar to H. prasinus but can be easily distinguished from the latter by having a pair of forked processes. It also resembles H. muzaffarabadensis Naveed & Zhang but can be distinguished by details of the shape of the aedeagal shaft especially at the apex, the shape of the subgenital plate, and number of macrosetae on the subgenital plate.
