Systomus xouthos Kottelat & Tan, 2011: 211 View in CoL (Tutong district: Sungai Merimbun and Tasek Merimbun). Remarks. Juvenile Barbodes xouthos View in CoL is distinguished from Bruneian specimens identified as Barbodes banksi View in CoL
of similar size in having a very small black spot (instead of a large squarish blotch) at the base of the anterior part
of the dorsal fin ( Kottelat & Tan, 2011: 212; Eden, 1984: 181 as Barbodes binotatus ).
