Type Species. Helix tudiculata A. Binney, 1843 , by original designation.
Phylogenetic taxon definition: Helminthoglypta consists of H. tudiculata (A. Binney, 1843) and all taxa that share a more recent common ancestor with it than with Rothelix Miller, 1985 ( Roth 1996) .
