Nesoclutha concavipenis View in CoL , sp. nov.
( Figs. 1 View FIGURE 1 A–J)
Description. Body pale yellowish brown; head, pronotum and scutellum immaculate; forewings yellowish with smoky grey markings. Ocelli separated from eyes by twice own diameter. Pronotum approximately 1.5 times as long as vertex ( Fig. 1 View FIGURE 1 A).
Male genitalia. Aedeagus with shaft short, base broad, deeply concave ventrally in lateral view; subapex expanded, gradually tapering; apex short and acute, without processes ( Fig. 1 View FIGURE 1 I).
Measurement. Length (including tegmen). Male: 2.7 mm.
Type. Holotype: ɗ, China, Hainan Prov., Yacheng, 2173m, 14.v.1983, Coll. Zhang Yalin ( NWAFU).
Remarks. The species is similar to N. erythrocephala but can be distinguished from the latter by the shaft of the aedeagus being more deeply concave at midlength ventrally ( Fig. 1 View FIGURE 1 H, K). Although we have only seen one specimen this difference is considered of sufficient magnitude to warrant description of the new species.
Etymology. The species epithet “ concavipenis ” refers to the deeply concave ventral margin of the aedeagus.
