Material examined. Brazil, São Paulo: 2 ♂, 7 ♀ (1 ♀ ov), CCDB 6040, Ubatuba, Enseada de Ubatuba (5 m trawling, night), coll. R. Costa, iv.2016.

Distribution. Western Atlantic—USA (North Carolina, Florida), Brazil (Rio de Janeiro to Rio Grande do Sul), Uruguay, Argentina ( Christoffersen 1979; 1998).

Previous records. Several stations along the coast of São Paulo sampled by the R/Vs Calypso, Emília and Wladimir Besnard (see Christoffersen 1979); São Sebastião Channel ( Pires-Vanin et al. 1997; Arasaki et al. 2004); locality not mentioned ( Christoffersen 1998).
