Diagnosis. — Male. Metasomal tergite II with pair of hairy tufts very large and rounded, placed not in pits, but in a very shallow depression.

Comments. — This group is composed by D. apertus Kieffer, 1914 , D. subpilosus Azevedo, 1999 and D. parvus Azevedo, 1999 . It is broadly distributed, ranging from northeast of the USA to Bolivia.
