Graziacrophyma gen. nov.

Type species: Sinopla bicallosa Stål, 1872 ; by present designation.

Etymology: Grazia- Dedicated to Jocelia Grazia, in recognition of her contributions to the study of Pentatomoidea and – Acrophyma , genus from which this new genus is erected.

Gender of the genus, feminine.

General body shape oval, shield like ( Figs. 1–2 View FIGURES 1–5 ). Dorsum and venter ochraceus with brown punctation, and weakly reddish borders on anterolateral margins of pronotum and head.

Head: About same length as width, with strong, dense punctation. Lateral margins of head concave. Paraclypei apically rounded or truncate, not surpassing anteclypeous, Anteclypeus rounded apically. Antennae 5-segmented. First antennomere reaching apex of head. Rostrum reaching mesocoxae. Bucculae evancescent posteriorly, rounded anteriorly.

Thorax: Pronotum hexagonal, deltoid shaped, broader anteriorly, with impunctate area on anterior margin. Cicatrices elongate, tubular, curved in shape, immaculate. Scutellum longer than wide with a medial, impunctate longitudinal line, and a callous pale spot on each basal angle. Sternal carina present on mesosternum. Evaporatoria punctate, each reaching about two-thirds width of metapleuron ( Fig. 4 View FIGURES 1–5 ). Ostioles slightly oval. Ostiolar peritremes short, fleshy, with apices pointed. Legs caramel colored, with abundant pilosity on femora.

Abdomen: Ventral surface smooth, with fine punctures. Spiracles dark brown, each located near lateral margin of abdomen, following behind a small transverse, elongate spot. Abdominal spine small, tubercle like. Male pygophore spatulate ( Figs. 6–7 View FIGURES 6–9 ). Female paratergites 8 rounded, paratergites 9 subtriangular, 1 st gonocoxae slightly convex ( Figs 8–9 View FIGURES 6–9 ). One pair of Pendergrast’s organs on each side of the 7 th sternum.
