Distribution
This species was previously recorded from Saudi Arabia by Grichanov (1997, 1998); El- Hawagry et al. (2017). It was described from Algeria (Biskra) and was further recorded from the Palaearctic region ( Egypt, Iran, Israel, Spain, Syria, Tunisia and Turkmenistan) and the Afrotropics ( Ethiopia) ( Grichanov 2017a).
Remarks. This species is halophilic (belonging to organisms that thrive in high salt concentrations) in nature ( Grichanov 2016; Grichanov et al. 2017).
