Regional distribution. Chaharmahal & Bakhtiari ( Lehr et al. 2007), Mazandaran ( Sakenin et al. 2008), Semnan ( Sakenin et al. 2011).
General distribution. Iran, Turkmenistan ( Mayor 2007).
Comments. Holopogon nigropilosus Theodor, 1980 ( Diptera : Asilidae ) was reported as a predator of E. basipes ( Lehr et al. 2007; Ghahari et al. 2014).
