Santa Maria material. Single specimen, size unknown, from Figueiral, Santa Maria Island, Touril Complex, Lower Pliocene.
Discussion. Mayer (1864) recorded the species from Figueiral, Santa Maria Island without a figure. We cannot confirm its presence in the Azorean assemblages and have not given a complete chresonymy.
Distribution. Lower Pliocene: Atlantic,?Santa Maria Island, Azores (Bronn in Reiss 1862; Mayer 1864).
