Diagnosis (modified from Fonseca & Bezerra (2013)). Cuticle smooth or striated, rarely annulated (i.e., with deep transverse grooves extending beyond cortical zone; Decraemer et al. (2003)). Six outer labial setae and four labial setae in one circle, with cephalic setae shorter than or at most equal to labial setae. Additional cephalic setae and sub-cephalic setae may be present. Stoma often funnel-shaped, completely or partially surrounded by pharyngeal tissue. Secretory-excretory system usually indistinct. Females with one anterior ovary to the left of intestine. Males usually with two testes, the anterior one to the left of intestine and posterior one to the right of intestine.
