TYPE LOCALITY: Japan, Honshu, Enoshima (Yenosima), at mouth of Bay of Yeddo .

DISTRIBUTION: Montane forests of Honshu, Shikoku, Kyushu ( Japan).

COMMENTS: Formerly included in Dymecodon ; see Corbet (1978c:37).
