TYPE LOCALITY: Uganda, Ruwenzori East, Mubuku Valley, 10,000 ft. (3,048 m) .

DISTRIBUTION: Mountain forests of C ( Zaire, Uganda, Rwanda) and E Africa ( Kenya, Tanzania); an isolated population in Cameroon.

SYNONYMS: camerunensis, mundus.

COMMENTS: The westernmost population may represent a distinct species, camerunensis; see Hutterer et al. (19876).
