TYPE LOCALITY: Ethiopia, Webi Shebeli, near Finik .

DISTRIBUTION: Arid regions of Senegal, Ethiopia, and probably Somalia.

SYNONYMS: debalsaci.

COMMENTS: Revised by Hutterer (1986a). Specimens reported from Somalia by Heim de Balsac (1966a) represent macarthuri ; see under that species. Includes debalsaci as a subspecies; see Hutterer (1981 b).
