TYPE LOCALITY: Somalia, Giohar (= Villaggio Duca degli Abruzzi) .

DISTRIBUTION: Known only from the type locality.

STATUS: IUCN - Indeterminate.

COMMENTS: Assigned to Amblysomus by Simonetta (1968:31) and Petter (1981a); Meester (1974) placed this species in Chlorotalpa .
