TYPE LOCALITY: South Africa; Garies, south of Kamiesberg, Little Namaqualand, Cape Prov .

DISTRIBUTION: Coastal dunes from Cape Prov., South Africa, to Namib Desert, Namibia.

STATUS: IUCN - Rare.

SYNONYMS: cuna, namibensis.

COMMENTS: Includes namibensis as a subspecies; see Meester et al. (1986:19).
