C o m m e n t: Leptobium paivae is one of the two endemic species of Staphylinidae of the Selvagens islands (ASSING & SCHÜLKE 2006). Only recently, it was recorded in larger numbers for the first time after approximately 80 years ( ASSING 2009a).
