TYPE LOCALITY: Mexico, Sonora, San Pedro Nolasco Island, 27°58'N, 111°24'W GoogleMaps .

DISTRIBUTION: Known only from the type locality.

STATUS: IUCN - Extinct.

COMMENTS: Derivation from a P. merriami-like ancestor postulated by Lawlor (1971a). Probably extinct—see Lawlor (1983). P. eremicus species group.
