TYPE SPECIES: Chiropodomys fulvus G. M. Allen, 1927 .
SYNONYMS: Octopodomys .
COMMENTS: Dental morphology interpreted by Misonne (1969) to indicate close relationship with Chiropodomys ; hypothesis requires testing with other characters. About the same time Anthony proposed Vernaya, Sody (1941) proposed Octopodomys .
