TYPE LOCALITY: New Guinea, Irian Jaya, Weyland Range, Kunupi Mt .
DISTRIBUTION: New Guinea; from Weyland Range and Snow Mts in Irian Jaya east along Central Cordillera to Schrader Range and the Mt Hagen and Nondugl region in Papua New Guinea; limits unknown.
COMMENTS: Originally described as a subspecies of H. meeki ( Rümmler, 1938; Stein, 1933), dammermani is a small-bodied species with only traces of white wisps about the ears.
