TYPE LOCALITY: Sudan, Darfur, Wadi Aribo, Kulme .

DISTRIBUTION: WC Sudan ( Dieterlen and Nikolaus, 1985).

COMMENTS: Usually either listed as a subspecies of G. macmillani ( Allen, 1939; Ellerman, 1941; Setzer, 1956) or included in G. dolichurus ( Misonne, 1974) , but considered a distinct species by Hutterer and Dieterlen (1984).
